Q: Do you go to post season tournaments? Is there extra cost?
A: Lighthouse is a member of the NCHEAC, which is the state homeschool athletic league. The league holds a tournament late in February. Players are charged a minimal fee to cover the Tournament entry fee.. Each player is responsible for transportation and lodging, if necessary. In recent years, the tournament has been held in Greensboro, NC.
No other tournaments are scheduled by Lighthouse as part of the regular season. If a team decides to participate in an additional tournament , such as the HSPN East Coast Homeschool Tournament at Liberty University, the entry fee, transportation and lodging are in addition to the regular season participation fee. Team members may coordinate fundraisers to help with those extra expenses.
